I know, write!

Been online for more than 6 hours, spent mostly talking to a friend in Doha, Qatar. Was about to Skype but my sister arrived home and had to hit the sack. So I am back to my PC in my room without the webcam and Skype. Never saw the need for Skype until today.

It’s 3:15 am (MNL) and I have just started to write a screenplay of a shortfilm that the Bulalocals will be doing with Jinglebeez production. I’m getting so excited. I hope I can finish this. I wish it’s already the weekend!!

Found a song that I am LSS-ing on!! (I wish I can sing this song and record it at Jinglebeez… but I guess singing isn’t for me!)

Project: Record Poems

When 2011 came, I said I want to make the year into four parts with each quarter representing something that I really want to do. Here’s my plan:

First Quarter: Creative/Something Cultural
Second Quarter: Fitness
Third Quarter: Travel
Fourth Quarter: Big birthday celebration!!! It’s the big 4-0!!

My friend Russel wanted to join in and we both planned to go to museums. That didn’t happen, instead, we were (almost weekly) frequenting Bulalo Fiesta at Quirino Avenue fronting SM Fairview. Something came out nice with that weekly gig, the friendship with the now-called Bulalocals (Adrian, Jerelene, Jimrei, Toffee) grew stronger! 

That friendship brought out many ideas, thanks to Adrian who lugs his DSLR camera around. And since he’s into recording songs, too, courtesy of Jinglebeez productions (Jingle’s and wife, Bebe’s  production house) I thought of recording my poems, too. Inspired, no less, by my idol James Earl Jones who has peotry reading videos on YouTube.

So, here’s the first output. Recorded February 28. Still within my First Quarter goal!!

Beat on the brat!!

With a brat like that, what can you do? Lose!!!

Exactly. So today, my good friend Russel and I decided once and for all to drop this toxic person from our roster of friends. We’re not being mean. I think, we were even going the extra mile to understand a person with a pathetic  “Look at me” attitude.

Anyway, the last straw happened a couple of nights ago. It was supposedly a night of conceptualizing a video project with Russ over coffee right after  the mall tour of Regine Velasquez at Trinoma (which is a superb display of voice!)! We didn’t invite him since he’ll obviously have nothing to contribute to our artistic pursuit. But no! He invited himself.

Then two hours after joining us, he disappeared. And then I got a text that said, “I’ll go ahead na pala.”

Urbanidad naman, pwede?

First, didn’t you learn this from your “Ateneo” education, wait to be invited!!!

Secondly, not everything is about you!

Thirdly, although this happened prior to this incident, swipe your own card if you want to support your lifestyle! Maxed out na nga credit card mo, extension ka lang pala. At pinsan mo pa ang principal!

And so, second day into blogging again, I became emotional because of this song. Or with this song. A very good friend broke the news that someone I really like is already seeing someone. So I had to go to “Handling Disappointments” mode so early in my day (woke up at 2pm).

And so, after three years, I decided to come back. If you notice, from the previous entries, I got Team Leader post at Stellar in 2007. When operations went full blown I became really busy learning the ropes. I just want to say that I got promoted eventually to Operations Manager (where and what I am now, that’s another entry altogether). That made me really busy. Lifestyle changes (couldn’t really complain, that I just got tired updating a blog (but hey, went uber active in Multiply, then Facebook).

A lot, and I say a lot has happened since my last post. I must say that after getting a recent comment on my Fermex post, I got inspired of writing on my blog again. Which one, as I have too many? I decided to go for that which makes it easier for me to upload music. That’s a requirement for me. That aside from the general mood of the post, I put music that will set the mood for me. 

Too bad, streaming Twitter here is not a feature. That’s what makes me miss Wordpress. Anyway, I do expect to write frequently here. But I need to get an ISP. As it is, I am using Smart Bro prepaid. Moving my BayanTel here at our new address posed a problem. 

Anyway, see you again, Sarcastic Belly! Let’s make 2011 a con’textual” year!!

Oh, and that, too!! I am excited to note that my plan of a creative first quarter for 2011 is slowly getting fulfilled.
